Overview

Our preschool program is designed for the fun loving and inquisitive three year old. The Core Knowledge Sequence 1 Curriculum is rich in readiness based opportunities. Phonemic and print awareness, along with many language experiences, sets the three year old on a solid path to become a strong reader. Pre readiness experiences in math, science, social studies, music and art are integrated into the preschool day.

Each school day is filled with play, learning, exploring, and new experiences. A large playground, with lots of grassy areas and “fun equipment”, is available for outdoor play and an indoor gym is always waiting for those “too cold or too wet” days.

• The Core Knowledge Sequence 1 Curriculum ensures that our preschool children are exposed to a wide variety of experiences and a sound base of knowledge.
• A low staff to child ratio of 10 to 1 is maintained, to provide children with the individual attention that they need and deserve.
• Primary teachers are certified and/or director qualified
• Well balanced, nutritious snacks and lunches are provided to each child in attendance.
• Observation based assessments and parent teacher conferences are scheduled each year.
• Daily communication is provided through chats, newsletters, e-mail, and a message board. Parents are the most significant adults in their child’s life. A partnership between parent and teacher is created, to promote mutual respect and open communication.
• Preschool is available from two to five days per week and can be scheduled as a minimal or full day program.
• Extended day activities are available and are included in the preschool tuition rate.
